There has been quite a lot of fuss over recent months about the use/licensing of pesticides by the EU.  Or the wisdom of their use in general. The Government, in its 'wisdom' has decided to allow the use of Neonicotinoid pesticides in farming in the UK.  This after two years of 'trials' which have, apparently, shown that the Neonics are harmless to bees and other pollinators.  Now seeds are available coated in Neonics - apparently as part of the government's "National Pollinator Strategy ( Read more... )
