It's been one of Those Days.  Or at least One of Those Mornings.  The rest of the day hasn't been so bad.

As part of my ongoing quest to discover What I Am Supposed to Be Doing Now I Am An Older Woman, I was wondering last year when something pointed me in the direction of the Prison Fellowship.  Go Google, Dear Reader, I'm tired.

I've finished knitting the Iris scarf/shawl.  I found sufficient beads.  Of, I hope, toning colours and shades.  I managed to read the lace patterns in the correct direction, eventually.  I even cast off while watching TV - which might be why I cast off on a purl row rather than purling that row and casting off on the next knit row, but it looks ok ( Read more... )

It's cooler today, almost need-a-cardi cool.  I really must get on and sew up Petal.  Yes, I've finished the knitting - even to the knitted-on-as-I-went garter stitch band around the neck, as opposed to the collar in the pattern.  I also lengthened the sleeves to mid-forearm.  Short sleeves aren't much good in an English summer.  That's teh trouble ( Read more... )

So I tried to get across to Gosport High St today in time to donate to them 1pt of my O negative blood.  Trouble started when I went to get out Pansy.  She weren’t there!!!
