More & Less Trivial

On being a good daughter (sort of)

It's over a month since I last went to see Mum.  That was during half-term, she was on her own, my sis having taken off with her family on a winter sun break, & various Church activities having been put on 'hold' for the Half Term as some of the members have school age children.  This week I hope to get in in time for Mothering Sunday this Sunday (& save the price of at least the postage stamp!  As I couldn't get the cheapest rail ticket this won't be such a saving!)  All being well Sis will be there too & I can ask her about her Red Sea cruise.  Jealous?  Moi?  I got quite a good poem out of it didn't I?

Just a thought, in case you were thinking of eggsperimenting - you can use hard, or soft, boiled eggs for the 'standing on end' eggsperiment too. Which may be less messy in potentia. That's all about Moment of Inertia too.

So the Chancellor is delivering his budget today. w00t! I shall be on a train most of the time & not be able to access it til they've done the analysis - for the 10pm News!

As for the Treasurer of the Labour Party not knowing about the "Loans for Peerages" thing - what kind of Treasurer is he?  H has to account for his & others' use of the Church monies to the last penny.  Then there's the accounting system used by the City of Portsmouth. . . They seem to lose millions, totally unaccounted for, spend hundreds of thousands on new executive suites for Management & then can't find a few thousand for a grant to a charity which helps over 70, 000 young people per year. Like they don't realise what the same young people might get up to if they weren't being gainfully occupied by the charity & how much that might cost to clear up. *Sigh* Financial Myopia again.
Which will do for now.  I have to get ready, got a train to catch.

Have today's Thought for the Day: - "When women are depressed, they either eat or go shopping.  Men  invade another country.   It's a whole different way of thinking."   Elayne Boosler (b. 1952)

Y'all have a good day now.
