I was going to start this post by saying that today I visited the poshest place I've ever been in my life... but then I remembered that my Grandparents live just south of Tonbridge Wells... oh wait, I mean Royal Tonbridge Wells. It couldn't have much more of a pretentious name. Anywho, I went to Henley-On-Thames, and were greeted by a large sign at the station telling us we were now entering "Henley-on-Thames, Home of the Royal Regatta"... so almost as bad as TW. although, to be honest, it's a very pretty little town, and I'd heard multiple times about its residents all being middle class snobs who look down their nose at everything which passes in front of them, and we encountered none of that.
(a friend has just pointed out that the county we live in is always signposted as "the Royal County of Berkshire"... hm, that hadn't actually crossed my mind. I must say our little area of Berkshire is a far cry from the likes of Henley and Tonbridge Wells though.)
Anywho, FREE HOUSE TOMORROW WAHEYYY :D
Possibly for the last time in 6 weeks so I am going to make the most of it... playing the sims 3 and guitar hero with 80s New Wave blasting out of my dad's speakers. YES. I AM LIVING THE DREAM HERE GUYS.
Oh no, actually, one of those bites from yesterday is on my thumb joint and has swollen up to take over most of my palm (damn you allergies, damn you) so I can't play drums on guitar hero and the guitar hero guitar bores me now that I have gotten to an interesting level on drums. maaaaaaaan.
Oh well, a day of the sims 3, I can think of worse things. (like loosing your passport the morning you're due to go on holiday and having to spend the next 3 days on trains going up and down the country getting a fastrack replacement so you can pay an extortionate fee for a new plane ticket to fly out and meet the rest of your holiday- a la my next door neighbour)
ETA: My violin teacher called today, I passed my Grade 5 exam, which I really, really thought wasn't going to happen... WOOOOOOP now I can give up at Christmas without worrying about retakes and the like.
guess what i'm in pain again,
random,
nerdness ensues
