Remember 83...

On Saterday Tony, David, and I went to see the Deloriens... This is how it went down.

I busily contacted all my friends that I wanted to see the concert with, most agreed. On the ride up Tony jamed out to the radio, and mentioned how "Tonight is Going to be a Good Night" is not amazingly done, but somehow makes us feel good when we hear it... And that the song certainly captured my mood as I drove to the Norva. We park, we walk, we enter. The place is empty, and the first band goes on in a half hour. My heard sinks, hoping that there place will fill up. Over the next hour it did not... David was in the back hanging with Windle. I see some people, one of whom tells me some people know me on the first floor. I go down... and there I am invited to the best seats in the house by Eric and Steeve from work. Steeve aparently camped out the seats, so I thank him and wait for the show. A couple bands played, the names escape me at the moment. Each was decent. David had returned from the back to enjoy the show. I take a swig from my flask of Johny Walker Black and pass the rest to David. I decide to take a look at a beer list to coast me into the evening. Expecting to not be impressed I see a bourbon cask aged ale on the list. I order it immediatly, imbibing it I taste seet malt, vanila oak, and earthy hops. Delicious, I share and sereval commrads order it as well. At nine the place begins to fill as I start to cruise a buzz. An uncouth group of young adults dressed garage band fasion engages in slopy playing as they tune up. The lights go out, I look down at my beer... I hear a guitar riff, and sudenly the stage has been transformed. InstaParty!!! is yelled out as I see the band now in matching sweater vests begins to play, and play well they did. They perform popular covers, playing the crowd. Eric seeing my revelrie motions to an empty spot in the front, I take the opening and begin to dance. After a few songs I hear a familiar beat, turning to Tony to tell him, if the song is 'Tonights Going to Be a Good Night' I will buy him a drink. I returned after that song with a Rum and Coke for him and another Burbon Cask Ale to give to Steve in thanks. InstaParty exits stage, with a very rowled up crowd. Sarah at this point calls me, I tell her to get here soon if she wants to see the Delorians and that I bet her ticket that she'll be impressed. She arrives shortly. I don my shiny shirt, the Delorians enter the stage, thank the crowd, and start to play their asses off. The whole crowd is yelling out lyrics, dancing, and waving. The Delorians play for hours, so amazing. They rocked the casbah...
