I bought a new coat today. It cost $50, and is slightly too big but I love it. It makes me feel like an adult. It is a woman's coat, not a girl's.

I can't even describe how happy I am tonight. Obama won! We won! Future generations will read about today in history and government classes. I will tell my kids about today. I was there. I voted for Obama. For the first time in my adult life, I can see that the system does work.

You know how it sucks when you start your period? And how much more it sucks when you start it at work, a week early, where most of the other employees are either old men or boys in high school so you can't just explain to the other cashier why you need to next door to the CVS. So I spent several hours today (12 to be exact...2am-2pm) at the Adair Co. Law Enforcement Center aka the Drunk Tank. I got picked up walking home alone from the bars. I don't want to deal with tomorrow b/c I have to go do my forced volunteering which means waking up at 7:30. The time in iteslf isn't that early, but it's after 1 am now and I'm not tired at all. I am in love with our new microfridge because it lets me order food and keep what I don't eat to be had tomorrow.
