Phew! So the audition is OVER!
It was a little stressful before--Betty and Kristin and I went to Target to get our minds off stuff and traffic/detours wound up making us not get back here until a little after 5:00. My audition time was 6:48. Yikes! Betty and I ran thru dinner and then I had outfit dramas (is a cocktail dress too dressy? no, but if you're going to feel too dressed up, don't wear it! ok! etc etc) and then I went, warmed up, went up there and did my thang.
It went well. I sang very well. I kind of had to rush thru my monologue (which was supposed to be a 1-2 minute "fable or fairytale") and then they were asking me if I knew how long it was, etc, etc. But overall, I felt good about it. It's nice because I don't have that much invested in this. If I got in, it would be fabulous. If I got a callback, that would be fabulous! But I feel good about it and I'm glad I did it which is really what I was going for.
The others are all doing homework tonight. I'm hoping I'll be able to lure them away. I'm going to go visit Wendy since she just told me she has to work til 12. Yuck.
