home sweet home
my mom called me about a half an hour ago. they were in the middle of this falling from the sky and this swirling above them (i think my high school friend, ledell, actually took that picture!). thankfully, i watched via web the storm move past but apparently my bro's truck was pretty damaged by the hail, and since i don't have sound, i can't tell how long this storm is gonna last, or if another round of swirlies will hit the area later in the night. tis the season after all in good ol tornado alley. the flower bed my parents just planted is totaled which sux, and i'm hoping there isn't any damage to their roof since this is their first encounter w/ hail THAT big. the wind sounded the usual monsoonish great plains style over the phone though. phew! one more threat down...
