Everyone's capable - I'm self taught. Just had a conducive environment, and lots of time to practice. Hell, grab a camera - we'll happily display photography!
And - thank you for your kind words!
Ooh, and also, re your dad in your recent post - we're hoping there'll be (limited) residential space available in the above venue. If you think he'd be at all interested, drop us a line!
1 are you looking for space in which to exhibit your work? Always looking :D
2 how much would you be willing to pay, as a weekly rental rate, for such a space? I have no idea - I've had experience exhibiting with KILN but that's about it. Suffice to say, I don't have much $$$ but then again, I don't have much exposure. Who knows what I could afford if I was selling all the time!
3 would you maybe just like to clear an overflow of old pieces from your home/studio, and could use some extra storage space? When I start getting into bigger works this could be the case.
4 if yes to 3, how much could you afford for said storage space? No idea as yet.
5 what kind of work is it? What media? More than one? I work primarily on small paper supports, but I'm hoping to move to wood just as soon as I find some suitable surfaces and suppliers.
6 is the work difficult to categorise? Hard to pin down a pigeonhole for? (if so, so much the better ;) )Right now I fit very easily into the low brow/ works on paper sort of category. I'd love to do

Yes, we'll be looking at burlesque, stand up comedy, impro, live music, whatever sounds like fun, and isn't, perhaps, being seen much at the moment. So the doors are open re suggestions, there.
We'll also be using part of the space as a dedicated rehearsal/possibly performance venue for a variety of theatrical projects, which are also in the planning stages as we speak...
I have quite a few canvases and photographs (is there a possibility of projection?). As for your questions I have not exhibited yet so I am very much a newbie to the whole thing - but would be interested in hearing more once you have the bare bones going :)

Projection will be on offer as a long term thing, but not initially, unfortunately - unless you're in a position to aid with equipment hire?
Still, watch this space: we'll get ourselves equipped for such media as soon as is sensibly possible :D
