I just today finished reading the three existing Supernatural media tie-in novels and I just have to say that these three are, happily, leaps and bounds better than most media tie-ins I've read
( Read more... )
All to compensate (I believe) for this in Nevermore:
Of Sam: He had such amazing brown eyes, and, if he was the one who'd called her name, the sexiest voice she'd ever heard.
And of Dean: Clare blinked, and tore her eyes away from [Sam]... to look at the shorter one with the close-cropped hair, blue eyes, and mouth that looked like it was in a permanent smirk.
So yeah, that's in the book. And I love it because he's making as much fun of himself as he is of anybody.
See... that's how I think a tie-in author should react to being told they've messed up something about the characters they're writing about. With grace, class, and a wonderful sense of humor.
Omigosh, yes that is so cool. I read his Farscape tie-in (well bought it, actually,) House of Cards, and loved it. It was amazing.
So, I can ignore all the negative reviews on Amazon.com then? His two SPN books actually do get the characterizations right? The reviewers on Amazon didn't seem to think so. So I only bought Witch Canyon, and loved it, and was sitting around being disapointed there weren't any more to read. Does this mean I'm wrong? Do I have two more books to read? *bouncing up and down in anticipation*
Well I have definately learned to trust you when it comes to media opinions, especially in the being frank department, lol, so all righty then. *grin* Now I have two more books to read.
Crap. Now I have to convince my dad to let me use his credit card again, cause nobody on ebay accepts checks anymore! Grr. That's gonna be hard. I need those books! Where'd you get them?
I picked them up the last time I went to Barnes & Noble, so if you're close enough to one to do that, you might do that instead of going the internet route. The salesgirl was a Sam!girl, too, which was great. I bought them a few days after the finale, and we ended up standing in the aisle talking about it. :)
Hey, we're like 25 miles from Baton Rouge. There's half a dozen of them. :P I just didn't know they had the SPN books, lol. Mom hates going to BR though, so I'll call the specific store we're going to first to make sure they have them there...so I don't waste a trip it's going to take a lot of begging to get in the first place. LOL. Cause cash I have! Whee! Thanks!

I have much fan-love for Mr. DeCandido now. :)
