Just went on my second ever five-kilometer fun run this morning, and my first since I got into shape. The only co-worker who bettered me on the five-kilometer route was a burly athletic Frenchman who walks to work every day, so I'm pretty happy with my result, considering I'm not exactly a hardcore runner. Friday the 13th came a day early for me. At the gym's locker room this morning, I noticed that my eye was swelling again. True enough, later in the day, it had swollen to the size of a golf ball. I just bought a pair of cotton candy pink (!) boxing gloves for this week, when Trina and I are to start with our boxing workouts already.
