Marc finally got around to posting his photos from EMMA last year. It's only been almost a year. That's what having a baby does to your productivity I guess. *winks* I've been patiently waiting for him to post this album, because I knew he took a couple of photos of Magda, and I was hoping they'd come out well.
Last year, at the end of the event I felt like while I’d had a great time hanging out with my friends, that I hadn’t really gotten a chance to get to know many of the people that I didn’t already before we got there. I didn’t learn names until the photos from the event went up on Facebook and I could see which faces were tagged with which names

I'm playing hookey from work today, getting ready for EMMA. The traditional last minute sewing project (not sure if I'll have a new Hemd for Saturday or if I'll still be working on it, but we'll see), laundry, and packing.
So one of my reenactor friends out in the midwest is a bit of a hot mess. I met her several years back at ReenactorFest and really liked her. We’ve kept in touch online (Live Journal and Facebook) over the years. But she’s very moody and at times has seemed a bit self-destructive. I took today off to sew. Because I know myself, and I knew I wouldn’t be done with my projects for EMMA (and I’m not). So here's my to do list, and I'll be updating as we go along today. Housing assignments are out for EMMA. There are six of us going out, and four are bunked together (with two strangers) in what looks like might be a couples room (someone said some of the rooms have double beds). I'm bunking with someone I don't know, just two of us in a room. And Kristina is bunking in a quad with two other women and one guy (
