slipping back into old habits.

Guys, guys. I don't know if you're aware but for some reason there's suddenly been a resurgence of Remus/Sirius love and oh my, I am so on that bandwagon. And dogdaysofsummer is back too!! :DDDDD I am always glad when HP fandom is up and about again BUT I AM EVEN MORE EXCITED WHEN IT IS MY OTP FOR LIFE.

:))))

AND NOW FOR MY FIRST SET OF DRABBLES. (I'm so excited.)

Title: In the Morning
Prompt: 1
Rating: G
Word count: 252

In the morning,
I walk a path between houses.

It's coolest before dawn; otherwise, Remus would be asleep right now instead of walking through the deserted, early morning streets of the neighborhood where he and Sirius have lived together for almost two years. Instead he'd be lying next to Sirius in their tiny, first apartment-sized bed, trying not to laugh at the way Sirius's legs sometimes move in his sleep as if he truly is a dog having a dream about the hunt. He might be able to push himself up until he is lying on one side, his head resting on the crook of his elbow, and then he might lean forward to kiss Sirius's cheek, warm and patterned with the lines of the creases on his pillow. Sirius would whimper a little and move restlessly in his sleep until Remus came closer and wrapped his arm around Sirius's waist. That was always a little uncomfortable, but Sirius would look so content Remus wouldn't have the heart to move. And Remus would fall back asleep for another fifteen, twenty minutes, until Sirius's especially obnoxious alarm clock charm would activate and they would both have to force themselves to face the day. The day would be filled with small arguments and worrying reports and, for Remus at least, a desperate feeling that things are falling apart. But they would fall asleep later that night, after a good night kiss and probably more, and in the morning Remus would be in love again.

Title: The Adventures of Shark Boy
Prompt: 2
Rating: G
Word count: 467

Remus is staring, for the first time in his life, into the eyes of a Great White shark.

The thing is, this shark has not always been a shark. In fact, it used to be a James Potter. And another thing is, this shark is not fully shark. It is part pale, gangly, noodly-limbed boy with a huge shark face.

Sirius is sitting lotus position next to his bed, flipping through a stack of books as if his life depends on it. If James the shark gets hungry, it may. "If I were more skittish," Remus says to him, since James is obviously not in a position for conversing at the moment, "I would be outright terrified right now."

"I'm terrified!" Peter offers. He is kneeling nearby Sirius, on the side farthest away from James. Who seems to be turning an interesting shade of purple.

Remus and Sirius look at each other in the same moment and shout "Gills!" Sirius stands and rushes over to James while Remus shouts, "Peter! Open the door to the loo, quick!" Peter does so and Remus and Sirius pull James into the loo, looking around for an appropriate water source. Remus is about to turn on a shower or something when Sirius, in the space of about four seconds, engorges a toilet bowl, adds more water, and pushes James's shark head in.

"I don't know if he'll ever forgive you for that," observes Peter.

Sirius shrugs. "He doesn't have much of a choice in the matter, does he?"

Remus crosses his arms. "So how exactly did this happen?"

Sirius and Peter exchange a glance.

"Well..." begins Peter reluctantly. "Um."

"It was an experiment," Sirius finishes. "You weren't supposed to find out. You won't tell, will you, Remus?"

Remus rolls his eyes. "I'm going to have to say something if James is still a shark tomorrow and he can't make it to any of his classes."

"We'll right it before then!" Peter protests. "Promise!"

"Yeah," Sirius adds. "Besides, we can always say he's sick or something."

Remus looks at James. He looks, from the neck down, like a schoolboy kneeling in front of a toilet to puke. Bubbles rise to the surface of the toilet water and James the shark looks pleased for now. Remus rolls his eyes again. "Whatever. I never saw any of this. I'm going to the library where there are normal people, and if James isn't fully human when I return... well, I may have to write a strongly worded letter to Dumbledore and beg McGonagall to let me change rooms."

He doesn't mean it, of course, but by the time Remus has gathered his books and is walking out the door of the dorm room, Sirius is searching even more frantically than before for a reversal spell.
