This past weekend, I attended Creation Entertainment’s Salute to Serenity and Firefly convention here in Los Angeles, and wrote about it for Whedonopolis. I hope you enjoy it. ^_^

Every time the piano section from "The Funeral" on the Firefly soundtrack begins, I always stop and take a slow breath. Such moving music.

It's funny, a little while ago -- I think in March -- I said I was gonna cut back on social activities and going out and the like over the next following months to save money and sanity and such...and yet the funny thing is that the entire OPPOSITE has happened, yet I've still saved money! :) I mean I've been working a lot on a second job to bring ( Read more... )

I took over 100 pictures at this past weekend's Serenity convention...and barely any of them came out right. I have no idea what happened, but they're all dark and slightly blurry, so I am kinda pissed. NOW I have to take extra time to brighten and clean them up before I can upload them. So I'm still in a "soundtracky" mood, and today I'm listening to one of my all-time favorites, the Firefly soundtrack. Well, I get to probably my favorite track, "The Funeral," and I just start tearing up. Since I can't listen to music here anymore, I've been trying to balance out the amount of music and video on the device, since I find myself using it more to watch episodes of TV shows when I'm stuck somewhere waiting for something, like at the bank or while getting an oil change.
