Yeah, I know it's been a while. Quite frankly, not much has happened recently worth writing about. I've just been going to class and that's it.
Yet on a more optimistic note, my campaign television commercial was a hit in my government class. I created it using Windows Movie Maker... a program I've NEVER used before. After about three hours of doodling around on it, the final result was quite favorable. I predict that will reflect my grade a great deal.
I also watched the documentary (or "shockumentary" - if you will) titled "Super Size Me" and I've got to say, that film really opened my eyes and had my attention throughout the whole duration. When I first learned about it two years ago, I thought it was ridiculous for someone to film such a thing about a restaurant, mainly due to the fact that I was raised in a household brought up by my dad's restaurant career, and I knew a thing or two about the business from his experience. Because of that, by default I thought: "Why would a filmmaker take a swing at a place that feeds people?" After watching the film, I found out why. If you haven't seen it - then see it. I highly recommend it.
School is winding down to the end of the semester, and it really has felt pretty fast. I mean, I can remember like it was only yesterday getting up at five in the morning to attend my 7:00am class. I actually got to see my first sunrise in a few years on that day. Since then, it's been a pretty easy-going couple of weeks. I guess I'm gonna miss good ol' Quad-C. It really is a pretty neat little joint.
Listen to Dire Straits. They're the almighty Sultans of Swing.
