The best laid plans and all that . . .
NaNoWriMo? Yeah, that didn't happen for me. Something switched off in my brain - I forgot it was November and then I didn't have any story in me other than Sarah. Since that was a work already in progress, I couldn't use it, and my plans for the month were suddenly a lot more open.
Yesterday, with ten minutes left in Government, no novel with me, and no one I especially cared to speak to present, I started scratching out some ideas for "Noble" - ideas which quickly developed into the start and then the meat of chapter twelve. The voice is a bit different than other chapters, because I have Sarah's narrator, John, stuck in my head, but it fits the new mood between our boys and . . . you'll just have to read it when I'm done.
Because thanks to finishing class early you'll actually have something to read now! :D
