Just had a snippet to translate (for the refugees and asylum dept. of the region... not sure how they got it but... well).
It's just so... so... SWISSIt sure makes a change from other stuff I've been doing too. In fact it's humbling and entertaining at the same time. I suppose it's needed in English to remind all the wicked, nasty foreigners of

I think you wanted placed in the receptacles provided.

You're dead right! I copied and pasted before proof reading it, and I actually changed it to 'container' after it reached the grey cells, ta. Gives a whole new meaning to the idea of 'stuff it', right? *g*

And yeah, it's a good thing. I strongly believe in sorting stuff... except there are times when the various piles (paper, bottles, cans, batteries, clothes, PET, oil) start piling up because you have to juggle with timetables for what to take where, when. Our village doesn't have a 'tip' with all the mod. cons (it's smaller), so we have quite a safari to do to find the various - uh - receptacles for the different categories. I do love playing with the press for tin cans, mind :)

I think what tickles me rather is that this particular missive had to be translated, thus subtly suggesting that it's 'them foreigners' who are the ones responsible for the chaos. It might even be true...

Actually, this appeals to me -- but not a particularly admirable part of me. I can get cheerfully lost in details, and if it's for a green cause, well, count me in! Otherwise, I can be terribly inconsistent and if {ahem} the truth be told, downright slovenly.
