Grr #1: Our air coniditioner is broken. In Miami, that's not a good thing. It sporadically makes a weird noise and emits only warm air. It's nicer outside than in.
Grr #2: (From Rolling Stone Daily E-newsletter) ARMY QUESTIONS SPEARHEAD MOM
The day after SPEARHEAD performed at a war protest rally in San Francisco, two plainclothes Army officers dropped by the home of band member RADIOACTIVE's mother to interrogate her. "They showed her a picture of her son wearing a t-shirt that said 'Unfuck the world' and 'Dethrone the Bushes,'" frontman MICHAEL FRANTI told Rolling Stone. "She said, 'That's free speech,' and they said, 'Well, things are changing these days.'" The band just released a new protest song, "Bomb the World," on its Web site.
~*(Now My Comments): Ok, so are these Army officers telling us that Bush is planning on revoking the First Amendment? I think it's possible to be against the war and in support of our troops. I believe that because I am. No matter what your opinion is on the war, don't deny people the right to speak their opinion! It makes me sick that some people think that being against the war is unpatriotic. Even if I were for this war, I think I'd be scared if there weren't people speaking against the war. It's rare when unanimous views are a good thing. Without freedom of speech and contrasting views, we'd no longer be a free society! Just because I'm against the war doesn't mean that I'm unpatriotic or that I think war-supporters should be silenced.
