It was a busy past few days for me and I'm now exhausted after everything. I wonder if this will become a regular feeling from now on. I hope not, because I'd rather not be dead tired by the end of each day, but considering the reasons why, I guess it's not a bad way to tire one's self out. ^^ Because yesterday was the day Noé ended up coming in on his flight over from Brazil! Me and my family woke up really early in the morning to go and pick him up at the airport since that's when he flight finally arrived. He'd had a long trip and he looked exhausted from it. I understood that all too well, since my family has made the same trip numerous times and it typically takes two days just to get from one point to the other. But at least I had my parents with me and was older than him, even on my first time making the trip. He was by himself the entire time. Though he did say that the "nice flight attendant ladies" helped him out a lot. Still, it was a long trip, and apparently he'd had to make a flight transfer in New York City and got a little lost trying to find his way in that airport. But even with problems like that, he still made it here in one piece, that's what matters. And he did it while having to look after a litter of puppies the entire way.
The puppies themselves looked like they'd faired well enough on the trip, all things considered. They were really hungry and a bit cold, but that's understandable. They didn't have their mother with them anymore, and Noé tried to keep them fed as best he could, but he was by himself and he could only do so much for them on his own. But they're okay now. We all helped feed them and have been taking turns in looking after them, plus we made a bed with a lot of warm blankets in it for them. All together, there's eight of them, so it's not going to be an easy job trying to take care of them all, but I can't say I mind it. They're cute, and they're Goku's puppies, so I can't help but want to look after them anyway. ^^ And I'm guessing I'm not the only one. Noé has apparently become pretty attached to one of them in particular that seems to be smaller than his brothers and sisters. He said that he understood how the puppy felt and wanted to look after him because of it. Hmm...At this rate, he's not going to want to let that puppy find another home when he gets older. Maybe I'll talk to Okaa-san and see what she thinks about letting him keep the pup.
But besides that, at some point during this week, we need to see about taking Noé shopping to get him some warmer clothes. São Paulo, for the most part, tends to stay fairly warm year around. So he hasn't exactly needed anything that would be considered for colder temperatures. Auntia Benedita bought him a coat before he came here, but that's about it. Thankfully, Bunta was able to get me some of the twins' old clothes for him to wear in the meantime.
Besides that, the year-end and high school entrance exams are this week. Those of us who are already in high school don't have to worry about entrance exams, of course, but we do have to deal with the typical tests they enjoy forcing upon students right before it's time for break, and those are never enjoyable. T__T; Still, even with the recent distractions from this past weekend, I think I've gone over my notes enough to receive good grades on all my tests. Bunta should hopefully be the same way. So now all I have to worry about is Akaya. I just hope he'll be able to handle everything he's learned so far.
[OOC: Seriously, on average, it can take 25 to 30 hours to make a trip from Brazil to Japan. It's definitely a trip that'll wear a person out. And it'd be particularly so for a seven-year-old. So the kid's definitely a trooper. Especially when remembering he's had to keep track of a bunch of puppies along the way. >> Also, I don't know how old Bunta's little brothers are supposed to be, or what I should even call them, but we'll just say they at least had some old clothes they could give Noé. Even if they're younger than him, Noé's somewhat small for his age, as Jackal mentioned.]
