And now we interrupt our irregularly-scheduled...

Hello!

Been a week since my last post. Going to fix that later.

For now: Show Announcement!

o/~ Wo-o-o-ork's... Out... For... Summer! o/~

Turns out that Newspaper Taxi is playing Canada Day at Club 279, above the Hard Rock Cafe Toronto (279 Yonge St.)!

It's the start of my summer vacation at work, and I'm hoping for a really good show to start off my holiday, so come on out and have a good time for Canada Day!

Now, I know in the past there have been some "issues" with our show times being wildly inaccurate, and we've just figured out why: the more people we have there who have paid to see us, the more likely it is that we'll get a good time slot, like 10:30! Otherwise we end up playing after midnight. (Money talks, it seems...)

So come see us, make sure you say that you're there to see "Newspaper Taxi", and don't be too late, we'll play as early as we're allowed because we're attention-whores and will play to the largest possible audience! Cover should not be more then $10. Club 279 is a really nice club and there will be a lot of bands to see, some of whom I have heard and know to be quite good!

Here's a complete list of upcoming shows:

July 1 @ Club 279 (above Hard Rock Cafe Toronto, 279 Yonge St.) for Canada Day!

Aug 20 @ Unspecified large venue in Toronto with Unspecified big-ticket band... I can't reveal any details yet, but I'm really hoping this happens!

Aug 24 @ CNE Bandshell (details are forthcoming)

Sept 18 @ CBGBs in New York City! (Maybe... still working on it... fingers crossed!)

In early September we're trying to organize a "University Frosh Week" Tour, so anyone who has ties to local Universities and could suggest contacts to get us playing Frosh Week festivities anywhere from Western to Queens, I'd love to hear from you!

I'll be sure to bring in a few CDs for listening (and purchase!) when they are ready. (Current date is now Mid-July... keeps getting pushed back, but we really want to make sure it sounds right!)
