Coldplay
As it turned out, I don't have a cold at all - I have a throat infection. I'm more than a little annoyed - this is my second throat infection this year - and a little alienated. Will I ever get another common cold? Will they all be infections? Have I actually become immune to all 200+ strains of the cold at such a young age? The mysteries abound.
Fortunately, I'm making good progress on most of my goals outlined at the beginning of the month, and I plan to chugging along. I need to find another meme or two to post, and that should round out my roster. But which? Hmmm. Decisions, decisions...
Also, I notice (both when I'm writing my entries and when I'm reading through them) that I'm perhaps being only slightly too formal - this is a journal, after all, and such reading material is more relaxed. So perhaps, you can come to expect a slightly less pompous writing style - a little more exploration will determine that. At the least, I shouldn't be avoiding the use of contractions! I don't want to sound like Grover from Sesame Street, after all.
To prove my willingness to (carefully and methodically, mind you) expand the boundaries of this experience, I will once again post on the quarter-hour... Shocking! Just imagine, perhaps one day, the time listed above will not end in five or zero!
Stay tuned for next time, and see if I can come up with yet another punny title containing the word "cold". Any ideas, anyone? I wouldn't want to break my streak...
