How is this possible?

Isn't sea ice disappearing faster than Kwame Kilpatrick's supporters.  (Whoops.  Bad example.)

Seriously.  How is this possible? 

Whoever thought it would be a good idea to schedule the Tigers' Opening Day in March should be forced to sit in the stands on Monday and endure whatever crazy weather Mother Nature throws at us.

The last two years have been sunny and in the 50's.

There is no freaking way we get lucky three years in a row.

I'm happy to report that our building is tornado-proof.   Now, I won't sit here and say I was unaffected by Friday's storm, but when the sky has a greenish tint to it, and I'm on the sixth floor of a building made entirely of glass, I'm going to hide out in the stairwell.

I came to a few conclusions this weekend:

1. I hate the Yankees even more than I thought.
2. It's a lot easier to not get upset over the fact that golf was cancelled when the entire southeast region of the state is under a flood watch.
3. The baby could come tomorrow and I think we're about as ready as we can be.*
