Lately I've been reading a series of books by Arnaldur Indridason; I'm up to the fourth book now and went online to buy the ebook version only to discover that they wanted $11.39 for the paper version but $13.99 for the ebook. What the hell?! Since when does anyone pay MORE for the e version of a book?! It's not even new - it came out I think in 2005. Needless to say, I did NOT buy it. I'll be picking that one up at the library tomorrow. Grrrr.
On a happier note, I get a lot of great computer games from BFG and this weekend they had a sale - all games 50% off, so I bought 5, paying a total of $25.00. How could I resist at those prices?
My trip to Montreal is now booked, with the option of staying an extra night. Our plan is to just make sure we're back at the hotel around dinner time to avoid the protest marches which seem to start around 8 p.m. While it's still over a month away, I don't see the protests ending anytime soon, and while they tend to be peaceful, violence does and has broken out at times so we'll be steering clear. That's why I didn't book a hotel in downtown Montreal, preferring to cross the bridge to Brossard.
My back is slowly healing so I'm easing myself back into more normal activities. Nothing too radical - I don't want to injure it for a THIRD time! My son's graduation is on the 13th of June which means my mother-in-law will likely be coming, and I'll need the house clean for that; then I have a houseguest shortly after that, then my daughter's graduation on the 25th. So, I should have a clean house for at least a month! LOL.
