My mazda broke down yesterday...in the boon docks..in the rain...bad times.
For those of you that know the landscape, it was halfway between Paris and Bruceton where it went down. I had it towed home..in hindsight I think it was the thermostat...still do actually. Ah well, at least it's a cheap fix. If it were something like the head gasket or the water pump I think I would've just set it on fire in a gulley and called it a job well done. I think this means I'm selling it though, it's just not worth keeping it to let it sit up for a year then expect it to be roadworthy for the one or two months out of the year I'm using it. It's not fair to either party. It's just kind of a shame, because I know it's going to fetch a really low price even though I've put alot of crap on it practically new (battery, tires, left and right front axle, VCG, plugs, wires, etc., alternator, and timing belt, just to name a few that come to mind) and the A/C works and it handles country roads like a demon. Ah well, what're you gonna do right? Parting, or the expectations of a future parting is such sweet sorrow, eh?
In other news, I've rounded the learning curve of driving a stick shift pretty well, now all that's left is practice, practice, practice...
