This lady just made my bust out laughing. :P

Me - Your average book slave
Lady - I'm pretty sure she was from another planet

So, this Lady comes up to me and asks:

Lady: I am looking for the dictionary they have at Random School. *expectant pause*
Me: *realising that she actually expects me to know what dictionary they have at Random School, brings out the patronizing voice* Ma'am, I don't know what dictionary they have at Random School, do you?
Lady: Oh, no, but I know its a children's dictionary.
Me: Ok, well. as I said, I don't know the exact one, but I can take you to the section.

So we walk over. Now, I must describe what the section looks like. It is a large unit, devided into 2 parts. On the left we have a whole wall of childrens' manga and comics, on the right we have childrens' dictionaries/refrence on top, and Christianity/religions on the bottom. So I guesture to the top right.

Me: The children's dictionarys are right here, ma'am.
Lady: *looks at the manga shelf* Oh, those aren't them.
Me: *...* Yes, ma'am, the children's dictionarys are here. *pats the books*
Lady: *starts rifling through the religious books with a confused look on her face*
Me: *....seriously?* No ma'am, they are right here *pretty much hits the books to get her to focus*
Lady: Oh, that's a lot. I'm looking for the one from Random School. They told me that they got it here!
Me: I'm sure they did ma'am, but as you can see, there are quite a few varieties. Your best bet is to see exactally what one your son has *she mentioned her son a while ago, I don't remember where*, and write down the ISBN number *takes a book, shows her - at this point, I am taking no chances*, and call us. We can tell you right away if we have it, or if you could be ordered.

Now, the best part.

Lady: But, but, it says dictionary on the front, can't you look it up?
Me: *must.... not.... laugh.... out.... loud...* Ma'am, ALL dictionaries say "Dictionary" on the front. It's just not possible to look it up without more information.
Lady: Ok... I'll just look. I might recognise the cover....
Me: Ok. *hurrys off to laugh in a corner, and then tell all co-workers so they can get a giggle*

This woman made my day. The whole conversation was just a peice of work. Makes you almost wonder if she planned it or something.
