"I'm an adult now, I can buy my own insurance and everything!"

So, I'm 21 now.

Yeah, yeah, I know, "lol booze."

But that aside, I had an absolutely fucking awesome birthday. Went with Drew & Natalie to a Sisters of Mercy concert at the Roxy. First time they've been here to Atlanta in nearly a decade, so it was a massive treat for all of us. We actually got really close to the stage; we were about three people away from being right at the guardrails up front. Quite easily the best concert I've ever attended. Loudest, too, and it's just fun to think that I literally turned 21 to the sounds of "Dominion/Mother Russia" around the 10:00 hour. Also got to go out back after the show and hang out with the band's guitarists (the lead singer, the great Andrew Eldritch himself, was not around; he tends to disappear quite quickly after shows due to being tired of putting up with squealing, fangirlish goth kids for the past 25 years). Actually had a really fun and engaging conversation with Ben & Chris (the aforementioned guitarists) for the better part of an hour before they had to leave. After that we decided to head on home...and ended up getting lost in Atlanta for a good while. Traffic was light and we were in good company, though, so it was a fun little detour. Once we figured out where the hell we were going, we figured we'd stop in at Steak & Shake for a 3:00AM dinner.

A~nd that's pretty much it. An incredible night altogether.
