I have some awesome hallucinations when I'm tired. Or more specifically, when I'm just waking up. Usually they'll occur when I've been woken up suddenly from a short nap, and will be limited to an inability to comprehend language akin to that of avid drug users (turning simple phrases like "wake up" to "your computer's caught on frog, turn it down"). Rarely do I actually see things when this happens, but apparently they're real doozies when I do.
A couple nights ago, for example, I ended up passing out at about half past midnight and sleeping for a good four hours. Now my room's a bit of a mess right now, and a lot of cardboard boxes from a lot of recent DVD orders are stacked up on a footstool about two feet from the bed, making them the first thing I see when I wake up. Well, as I was slowly coming into consciousness, these boxes ended up taking the delightful form of none other than the Babylonian god Marduk. Specifically, it was the dragon that represented Marduk, just as it appeared on the Ishtar Gate. Same pose and everything. And it just stood there until it simply vanished as I finally came to my senses.
Kinda freaked me out for a bit, but now it's kinda funny.
