Tales from the Boobie Bar!

Always with the hair.

Lots of guys like hair. That's cool, hair is pretty when cared for right.

But it's decidedly not cool to grab my hair and tug because you think it's fake. Those braided loops are real, thanks-I know it's an odd hairstyle and not many people wear it, but that doesn't mean it's fake.

Ouch.

Another thing I know I rant about a lot-women customers. Not all of them-some of them are a pleasure to have there. But the majority...eugh.

Two girls came in with the one girls boyfriend. The boyfriend is enjoying himself, hanging out, looking at OMGTEHBEWBZ, alright. The girls were uncomfortable, clearly. Why they would go to a bar they knew they didn't like; and why they would try to insult every girl there, thus making the experience more uncomfortable for themselves, I may never know.

One of the girls, we'll call her C, was up on stage when the two girls started catting her. Loud enough for her to hear.

C=Dancer girly
G1=Girl 1
G2=Girl 2
BF=The one girls boyfriend

For reference, this is a large bar, with the bar itself being roughly circular and extending all the way to the walls; the stage is behind the bar, so viewable from every seat in the house. The girls and the BF were sitting right where one of the poles is near the edge of the bar.

C=*dancedancesmilesmileetc:D*
G1=*glaring* I could so do better.
G2=OMG, you totally could, so could I. We are so much hotter.
BF=o.O
C=*stops* Oh really?
G1=*wall-eyed stare*
C=So, you coming on up? Prove it.
G2=Ugh, we would like, NEVER go up there.
C=Mmhmm. So what you're saying is you can't prove it?
G1=Whatever.
BF=*shakes his head*

C then did the rest of her set riiiiiight in front of them, at that pole. Bending over in front of the girls, shaking her tits at them, etc. The girls got very embarassed (imagine that!) and dragged the BF out.

Girls, seriously-if you can't handle it, don't come. I know a lot of women have severe self-esteem issues linked to their physical appearance, and I know that the majority of dancers are pretty damn hot. I also know that a lot of women have issues with dancers in general-they think we're out to steal their men or something ridiculous like that @_@ Ugh.

Lastly was the 'I know what it's like' guy.

He tipped well, which was cool. But tipping well doesn't entitle you to all my time, nor does it entitle you to more than a dance.

One exchange we had:

Him=Yeah, well I came in and saw you onstage, and thought you were beautiful and all, but you were too slow getting offstage to come see me! So the other girl got a dance from me.
Me=Uh, okay? Not like I can just hop offstage when the whim takes me. I have to finish my sets.
Him=But if you had, you'd have gotten a dance from me!
Me=I also would have been written up and possibly sent home. Not worth it.
Him=*suprised*

He kept telling me he used to 'work with dancers at the clubs' so he 'knows what its like'. He wanted to talk my ear off -_- I made nice, chatting with him, then he started reaching out to stroke my knees o.O I made him move his hands several times-he wouldn't quit it, so I went off elsewhere in the club.

Then later, as I'm cashing out, he asks the bartender to tell me to go sit with him o.O I went over to see what he wanted, which was, of course-"I'd really like to see you outside of here." Uh, no dude. If you 'worked with dancers' and 'know what its like', you wouldn't even ask. And he wouldn't let it go at one 'no'-he kept pestering me. So I had the bouncer walk me out and make sure the guy didn't follow -_-

Idiot.

And thanks-

To my roomie for keeping me company for a bit, and also driving me home.

To the guy that handed me $40 out of the blue for no reason o.O

And to the dude with the bottled water who was extremely polite-above and beyond.
