Today was the first day of our international conference and it was tiring, but great. :D It was a twelve-hour day for me, but the participants are really great and very friendly even though some of them are some decorated profs. I don't know about you, but I always have this idea that important and well-known professors are probably stuck-up, dry old people without a sense of humor who look down on college life nobodies like me. But none of that! They chat about anything at all with you and are happy to see you when they've only met you the day before. Everyone stops for a round of small-talk and professors walk around in tank tops showing off their tattoos. xD I'm loving it!
Still, I'm going to sleep early today, I'm beaten. But this entry first! I've listened to Miss A's new MV (I understand the other thing that came out was a CF and thus not their real style) that I rather like. This is a after-first-listen opinion, though, so it might change when I have the time and patience to listen and look properly again. ^^ But still, it like that they're not all cutesy and some members appear to have rather deep voices for female singers which is much easier on the ears than some other stuff. Definitely a song I'll be taking second and third looks at because it didn't make me cringe on first listen.
Music Meme time!
Day 04 - A song that makes you sad
Sometimes I like being sad. It may sound weird, but there are days when I need to calm down to work properly and then I often listen to music that pulls me down to really get into focus. There is one song in particular that makes me feel like rainy days and blankets and a hot mug of coffee (or chocolate or tea) and just listening to the rain pattering on the roof and staring out at the gray landscape and being melancholy. It's also a fantastic song sung by a wonderful singer whose voice seems to be able to do anything at all.
