No Other promo and updating the meme
I spent approximately three quarters of an hour squealing and grinning in front of my laptop. Is that a sign of insanity? Personally, I think that's the avarage symptoms in which Super Junior fangirlhood manifests itself when you're watching their perfomance vids.
I was having way to much fun with catching up on the boys' perfomances from this weekend, and I kept thinking that some of the members also had way too much fun on stage (seriously, what are they feeding Leeteuk?), but I don't care at all because it was GLORIOUS AND AWESOME AND UTTERLY, UTTERLY PERFECT! AND CAPSLOCK CAN'T EXPRESS THE EXTENT OF MY ABSOLUTE FANGIRL-HEAVEN HAPPINESS!
They're back and the song is fantastic and it makes me happy and giggly and smiley. ^^ Especially their Music Bank performance made me grin goofily because they were wearing such adorable smiley during the perf. I kept bursting out into giggles at random moments because of things like Ryeowook's wink or Donghae's tongue or Kyuhyun's silly face in the background. LOL! It's so indescribably awesome that they're all back together and I love them promoting happy songs because I think there's not nearly enough of them out there and they can pull it off so incredibly well, sending out the happy in waves like no other band can. *huggles for all the boys because they're adorable*
What makes SuJu so utterly epic, though, is that they can not just do goofily happy songs and pull it off as grown men, but they can take the next perf, do the same song (with different outfits, granted), and suddenly just ooze the sex!! How is that possible?! I'm not complaining, just saying that they caught me off guard with their cowboy concept and I DIED SEVERAL TIMES throughout the Music Core performance because WHY DID THE SONG SUDDENLY GET SO HOT? I will forever worship stylist noona for putting Donghae in that outfit because, once again as so often, HOLY SHIT DONGHAE. It's not fair that he looks so good in a plain t-shirt, jeans, and boots combo, not fair at all. T_T And if that didn't make me die once already, Yesung and Kyuhyun gave me the rest. Kyuhyun, you're making millions of fangirls faint with that incredibly smirk you've got going on there, and as such HOLY SHIT KYUHYUN. *dies*
But, yeah, to be fair I'll admit that Siwon looked like a supermodel in the Music Bank performance in that plain shirt, he just pulled that off amazingly well. Also, I loved the glasses on Heechul in the Music Core cowboy concept. I've decided that MuCo is my favorite performance out of the three so far, rather surprisingly, since before I've often voted for Inkigayo. But today I only kind of laughed at the too small stage and the face that Heechul and Yesung almost crushed their noses on its wall during Kyu's second solo part. Okay, well, I give extra credit for the absolutely incredible Kyu-focus during that solo that made me all starry-eyed, but Music Core beat that with their large stage, the great outfits, and general sexiness that was exuded. ^^
Now that the ranty part is over, I've decided to not backdate the Music Meme entries because that'd just spam everyones f-list. So I'll just include the days I've missed under the cut, that makes it a lot easier. ^^
(July 1st) Day 05 - A song that reminds you of someone
I absolutely and utterly love this song. It's sung by a German band and also has German lyrics (not necessarily the same thing). The unplugged live version below always reminds me of my mom because we both love this song so much and always turn up the volume when they're playing it on the radio, no matter where we are and if people can see us nodding our heads to the rhythm and singing the lyrics at each other, lol. Since my mom is basically my best friend and one of the most important people in my life, the one I can always talk to and who's always given me wonderful advice, the one that I can always trust and count on, I knew I needed and wanted this day a song to be one that reminds me of her. Sportfreunde Stiller - Ein Kompliment.
(July 2nd) Day 06 - A song that reminds you of somewhere
This song always reminds me of home, more specifically one room where I was working on Christmas presents one year and they took forever and ever to make, no kidding. I spent whole weekends on them, working out tiny details, getting myself muscle crampy in my hand from cutting out tiny, delicate paper things over and over. But I've always loved doing something like that when I have the time for it, and I replayed my Norah Jones album over and over, so the songs are all stuck in my memory and connected to the feeling of content and serenity I had when I was working on the presents. Don't Miss You at All in particular, because I always thought it showed the feeling best, the small part of melancholy because it was cold and dark outside, but also the good sides somewhere underneath.
(July 3rd) Day 07 - A song that reminds you of a certain event
Joe Cocker's N'oubliez Jamais always makes me sad and melancholy. It reminds me of a funeral service I attented with my mother that was for the father of a friend who had passed away suddenly. He loved Joe Cocker so the family decided that this should be the song to be played at the service and it left a very great impression on me so that now I can never listen to it without being reminded of the situation. It brings up the sadness, but also the memory of the family's love and strength to choose this song to be played.
(July 4th) Day 08 - A song that you know all the words to
Now it gets happier again. ^^ One of my top Kpop favorites and my absolute favorite song from F.T. Island. It cheers me up despite the message with the saddish tint, but I can never help but admire Hongki's fantastic voice. I've probably listened to it well more than a hundred times already, but I'm still not sick of it, which is a good sign. This is the song that made me love F.T. Island and I also love the MV because the idea is so great. Although I admit that it took me two or three watches until I understood that the little boys are supposed to be a mini-F.T. Island, lol. Still, adorable! :D And well, I know most of the words, and it's probably as far as I get with any other song counted it.
(July 5th) Day 09 - A song that you can dance to
Oh well, this wasn't much of a question for me. This is probably the only song of which I know at least half of the steps (I get through until the second chorus which is more than half of the song, although it's a bit rocky at times). I started learning out of boredom ages ago and then did a bit of recapping and new learning some weeks ago, but it's more a on-and-off thing. I know that there are quite some people out there who don't like the group and/or the song, but like F.T. Island's Barae, it's one of my favorite Kpop songs and also one of the earliest I listened to often. I like the retro concept a lot, although I still don't really feel 2DT. Still, the girls are gorgeous, the song is great, and the MV is hilarious which is why I chose to embed that. But still, there is also that awesome perf that always pops up first when you're searching for the song on youtube, that is my close second choice. ^^
