Here, there, everywhere ...

Even if half the little things went wrong along with some of the medium things, nothing major really happened on our move from Toronto to Ottawa. By Sunday I was frustrated to the max, but after an ok night's rest last night I'm feeling a little better. A little Ikea construction therapy also helped brighten my mood.

I'm not quite sure how I feel at this point. I don't think it's settled in yet that I'm here, but as I finally start to relax a bit I think the tension from living in Toronto is starting to fade. I don't know why I couldn't rid myself of the negative feelings I have attached to that city. Now that I've distanced myself, I feel its hold on me draining away. Another time I may very well have loved Toronto, but too many bad things happened there for me to stay.

It's a fairly quiet neighbourhood, though there are many homes with children. I guess I feel more comfortable here because of the families; it feels more like a community. There are more stars in the sky as well, and it's nice not to be living on a major road in the middle of the city. We're a very short drive from nature (in any direction), and the inlaws' farm is little more than an hour away. First thing the inlaws did was drop off a big box of fresh veggies from their garden ... potatoes, tomatoes, onions, garlic, etc. Maybe I'll make a soup later, after we put away some of the kitchen supplies. I think I'll need a good assortment of stones first, however ...

Of course I'm really missing a few certain friends, namely joekickass . Dude, you're leaving a huge gap in my social schedule! ::grumbles::

Seb's upstairs in the bath tub ... I think I'll go sneak a long peak!
