Busy Day
I'm already running out of time today and look at me, posting to LJ instead of doing said work. Go-me!
Yesterday was the big resume day and now that it's polished off, I'm going to spam everyone in Ottawa with it! I have a few leads and temp agencies at the top of my list, as well as a couple of government writing jobs that look really enticing. I'm sure I'll get an interview for the government jobs six months for now, but a guy can dream!
Today marks a week off my usual vice. (Curse finances!) I'm still getting the perpetual headaches and they're quite annoying, especially since OTC stuff does nil for them. I'm holding back my irritability as much as I can, as I really don't want to take it out on Sebastian. (Good thing for him I'm not mad at him this week!) (LOL J/K ... maybe ::wink::)
My dreams are certainly much more vivid this week, too. For some reason safetytortoise has appeared in a number of them. Yesterday I woke up in tears, however, as I had had a dream that our lovely girl zwe had died. I had to run down stairs to check on her right away and still ended up crying for a short bit. I don't exactly cry very often, so I was a bit surprised by it. This morning's dream session was more epic and actually very entertaining, a la something akin to a vampire thriller. It resolved itself just before being woken by the phone ringing, which was nice. I love having exciting and entertaining dreams like that!
Tonight we're heading over to Sebastian's Aunt's place for a birthday dinner. (His dinner, for those who may have forgotten!) Speaking of which, the inlaws are picking us up at 3:45 PM (so early?! I haven't a clue why ...) and I still need to bake some cookies for the event. I threw a pumpkin in the oven last night and will be making pumpkin cookies, rife with cinnamon, nutmeg, a light glaze, and maybe even some ginger if I can scrounge some up in the frige.
Speaking of which, I should probably get going on all this! As my grandmother used to always say, no rest for the wicked!
