My brother, the goon.

I keep sitting down to update, but there's so much going on that I don't know where to start or how to phrase it or anything.

The top thing on my mind is that in Feb. or March, Sean (my brother) is going to be sent to Iraq. He's a security officer in the Air Force, so he says that he won't be in too much danger, but I don't entirely believe him. Yes, the Marines are getting the worst of it, but he'll still be in some danger, and cops are not treated nicely over there.

Oh, yeah. He also informed me Sunday or Monday that he had a cold recently that led to pericarditis. Pericarditis is the inflammation of the percardium, the membrane around your heart. It's treatable and is not permanent, but there is a risk of fluid building up and putting pressure on his heart. (This is all stuff I learned in anatomy or from ER. I double checked it in a medical book at home. He couldn't even remember the name of the condition. Sheesh.)

His case was diagnosed Saturday when he spent 7 or 9 hours in the ER. And then he went to work the next day, against his doctor's recommendation. He has a follow up today, and he's supposed to call us tonight to let us know how he is.

Off to try and make money by selling my parents' stuff on eBay. With their permission.
