Thanks for the recap! I agree Central Park is amazing. And haha, the horns. That was something I had to get used to when I moved to Virginia -- no one honks AT ALL, like except in the direst of emergencies. I once lightly tapped my horn when sitting behind someone who hadn't noticed that the light had turned green, and the stares I got for it, my LORD. ;) But I'm used to it now.
Yup, for five years. And yes, the sound just becomes a constant backdrop -- when I'd go elsewhere, I'd always notice how quiet it was, but I never noticed how loud it was in the city anymore. That's actually one of my strongest memories from the days right after 9/11, because I was living in part of the city that was shut down to all traffic, and it was eerily quiet all the time. No subway rumbling underfoot, no cars, nothing. It was like a different world.
There's a constant background noise here, in this small town. I live on one of the busier streets, and I can hear traffic in the distance all the time. I hear sirens everyday.
At my boyfriend's house, you can hear bullfrogs at night. ;)

Ron and his son stopped over tonight, but I'm wearing ratty clothes because I have to cut the grass. ;P
I'd like to go back, too!
