You got a magnet up your nose when you were NINETEEN?

I mean, to be fair, I wet the bed at nineteen (and I wasn't drunk or anything), but there must be a story there...

Oh and also: did you pass the magnet?

A favourite injury of mine: smashing my head down onto my knee during a particulary awesome dance move in a particularly awesome dance jury in theatre school.

it certainly wasn't my finest moments (or maybe it was). it was a fake nose ring - the "stud" sat on the outside of your nose, held in place by a magnet on the inside. in retrospect, it was a dumb idea to buy it from that kiosk in the mall. i had read all the dos and don'ts of the magnet (don't wear when sleeping or when you are sick) and thought it would be fine. i was wearing it the next day and it was rainy and chilly outside (it was november) and i get sniffly in that weather and i had a little sniff and then the "stud" fell into my lap and i said, "i think i sniffed the magnet up my nose ( ... )

Phew! Now THAT makes more sense. I was picturing one of those black rectangular fridge magnets with the hole in the middle.

As someone who once suffered from chronic sinusitus, I sympathize greatly with the whole "pressing on the sinuses" thing. Ouch.
