First: I'd like to wish everybody a very happy 2007!

We had a very nice relaxed NYE: one of our hosts' (kattekrab and cafuego) customers is a company that hosts pleasure boat cruises; and they threw a NYE bash on the river!

However, they invited kattekrab and cafuego for free, and they could take 2 friends!

In the meanwhile we:

• visited the Melbourne Aquarium
• had lunch at the Veggie Bar
• Went to Brisbane
• Took a trip on the CityCat ferry there (24 knots is very very fast!)
• had Tibetan dinner there, and met Mel and Chris (Danny's cousins, Danny is a collegue at KLM who works in Oz: he's "our man in the nother timezone") and Chris' partner Julie

We don't have time to talk about everything we did, but we have lots of pictures up here.

Some of our hosts asked us if 'restive' meant 'good' when they asked us how our vacation had been until now..

Yeah, we had lots of versions of 'doing nothing' that were very restiverestful! Lots of good food (falafel, za'atah, pasta, indian food) and drinks (cocktails, tokay, muskat, shiraz) , aikido, handling someone sword collection.

We had lovely food already, and are planning to visit Aikidojo Melbourne Australia tonight.

The only posts I appear to be making here last few months are quick updates of the months between posting. I just did a meme, so I felt obligated to post something substantial.

As you might or might not know alexilian and I are going to visit Australia again this year. We're leaving Friday, December 8th 2006, arriving the 9th and we're going to return home January 4th, 2007.

We've been in Oz before (me twice, in 1999 and 2002, the last time together with alexilian) and we were wondering if anyone had any good suggestions for things to do ( Read more... )
