It's raining again
The calendar says July but the sky disagrees. Today was a mixture of December-like storms and April sunshine - April only because it's so chilly outside. The weather is having a terrible effect on the balcony: the new violas have curled up, apparently desperate to keep warm. The marigolds are looking alright but they're older and more robust. I had some herbs growing but they've petered out completely, such is life.
Froggy sent me a photo of the Rhône that he took with his phone while crossing a bridge (click on the image to enlarge it):
It's really high which is not surprising given all the rain we've had right across France. On the news the reports of failed crops and frustrated farmers are rising like the floods that are ruining the harvest.
Froggy has been invited to another dinner this evening. Hopefully he'll have a chance to swing by and visit our friend Nico before returning to his hotel. One more day to go - and tomorrow Anna arrives. *dances about and grins broadly*
Oh and happy 4th to all the Americans on my Flist - I raise my teacup to you. *winks*
