Life is full of woe
Last night the Montreal Canadiens were eliminated from the playoffs because of an ill-conceived game plan to play while asleep >:/ Well, Carey Price was awake, but even he can't score goals. There was much heartbreak, consideration of misery-drinking, and a dramatic amount of pouting at our place. Since the Calgary Flames are out, and now the Habs as well, if the Rangers lose tonight against the Capitals I'll have no one left to cheer for this season. I'm trying to be cool about it, really... MB suggested that I take the nerdy fatalist approach to the losses -> in the immortal words of The Highlander: there can be only one!

Anyholycrap!you'reweird, I have officially signed up to make art for tentaclebigbang this year (and I have IDEAS!!!). The author and artist sign-ups are live now, so go and put your name down for some squiddy fun right. now.
I also received my author's story from spn_j2_bigbang and am looking forward to getting into that. The art is due pretty soon (I've always hated the turnaround time for art in this challenge but you can only whinge so much), so I hope that it really speaks to me. I've already collected some reference images based on the outline for the story, and I hope they'll prove useful.
In slightly nicer news, my Piranhamoose shirt finally arrived...
It sparked a conversation with MB this morning in which I outlined the unspeakable horror of being run down by a rampaging Piranhamoose in great detail. MB looked at me and said that he sensed an epic story brewing in me about this, to which I made a disparaging remark about his mental health. I am NOT writing a story about a Piranhamoose... or, am I? o_O
And now my Mum, who is coming into town this weekend for a performance of Bluebeard's Castle (got a severed head? I've got a room for that!), is sending me random, inexplicable emails. She just sent one that only said "do you like asparagus?"
*facepalm*
I think maybe I'll go home early and hide under the covers...
