I feel as though
I am going mad,
the architecture
of my thoughts
crumbling, like buidlings
left to nature’s discourse -
termites chewing
on the flavor’s of wood,
wind whispering
to the birds
who are chattering
amongst themselves
in the eaves. The proof
of time passing evident
in the boards’ wet rot,
in the daily dose decay.

You may or may not know, but I work at a Light Metals (aluminum, titanium, magnesium) trade magazine. I have to wade through a lot of press releases, finding stuff that belongs in the news sections of our magazine. Most of what I get in is pretty dry and technical, but every once in while I get something in that just tickles me ( Read more... )

Well. I'm here. I'm in Carrickmacross, Monaghan County, Ireland. I haven't done much today. I arrived in Dublin at about 7 a.m. and didn't make it to the hotel until about 11. I am going to be taking a business trip......to Ireland! I will be there for three days, one day to attend a celebration and write a review of a forklift factory, but the other two to hang out in Monaghan, Ireland.
