I love Sanctuary after a hard week.

And it has been a hard week. In fact, it's been a hard month. The process of getting the October issue out has been ... intense is the nice word. For being one of the smallest issues I've ever worked on, it's been an incredible pain in the ass. The biggest problem was that our layout diva broke her leg at the top of the hip, so she was out for the count. Two separate people (who are both awesome) filled in for her, which meant that there were two separate learning curves and two separate ways of handling things. Combine that with the two weeks we were behind from traveling in Germany, among a variety of other challenges, and it was the issue from hell.

I've had to work late most nighs for about three weeks, which means I'm very, very tired.

Fortunately, we were able to push ourselves through and finally go to press today. (We were only a month behind schedule.) And it turned out to be a pretty damn good issue for all that we've been through.

So now I get to have my weekend without work hanging over my head, and even better, I get to sit back and watch Sanctuary, which is on right now. WhooHoo!
