Everything I do has been the same. The biggest problem with this is that I seem to be perfectly content with it. I watch movies, read, and spend time with Laura. Nothing has changed that much. At least this month I should be getting out of the house a bit more often with the movies that are being released. Wolverine, Star Trek, Angels & Demons, and Up in May, Transformers in June, Public Enemies and Harry Potter in July, GI Joe and Inglorious Basterds in August. So at least I'm covered for summer blockbusters.
I didn't see many movies last year so it took a lot of catching up on DVD. Lately I've watched In Bruges and Frost/Nixon. Both were awesome. Both I enjoyed as much as my the comic book movies of 08 I adore so much.
Work has been picking up. I've been getting paid more for the hours I've been putting in. Plus we have a new 3D animation project based off an upcoming childrens' book. I'm going to be the lead animator in charge of a department of interns when they arrive come summer break. It's a project I really look forward to working on due to it being fiction based rather than another corporate video or commercial. It's the type of storytelling I've been wanting to do.
Oh, and I heavily recommend the book A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future by Daniel H. Pink. It was quite enjoyable.
