Positivity, Day 4
Today started out a bit weird, as I woke up from a really bizarre dream featuring me and mundungus42 sitting at the beach, wondering if the SPF on our sunscreen was high enough. And somehow the Mighty Boosh were involved as well--the characters, rather than the actors, as though they were real. (Why? I just don't know, but I'm sure it made sense in the dream.) I have never dreamt about fandom before, and I rarely dream about people I know, so... yeah, that was odd all around.
And then, through a series of unfortunate events too tedious to transcribe, one particular wanker drank all my coffee and tried turn it around so that it was somehow my fault that he drank it.
Wanker. Someday, karma will repay him for that. Hopefully by giving him explosive diarrhea.
But then things got much better. To wit:
*More coffee was obtained and enjoyed.
*More blue skies, sunshine and leaves turning. Every time I go outside, I am reminded of why I love this time of year.
*Mother Nature turned the thermostat well down overnight, but the cold weather just means that I now have an excuse to wear my cape! ~billows dramatically~ Or my new silver motorcycle jacket, which doesn't billow but is cool in numerous other ways.
*I watched (and adored) Charlie McDonnell's new video for the Ben Folds/Nick Hornby project. The lyrics are joyfully earnest, nerdy perfection, and the video taps right into that. It features definitions! And the word "euphonious"! Watching it makes me grin.
*Got the laundry done. This is always cause for celebration.
*I have been given a giant bag of Upstar tulips, which is fortunate, as that little bastard black squirrel spent the summer eating the bulbs right out of the front bed, like it was his personal snack bar. I'm hoping to get them in the ground this weekend, and I'm looking forward to seeing them bloom in the spring!
*I'm wearing BPAL's Velvet Unicorn today, which is as fluffy and pink and candy-like and ridiculously happy as the name would indicate. It's impossible to be grumpy while smelling it. Ahhh, bliss!
