Positive Things, Day 3
Continuing on with the 30-day Positive Things meme!
Today:
*I was wearing a more form-fitting new outfit, and when my mother saw me this evening, she referred to me as her "skinny daughter." (Not quite yet--don't I wish--but I do finally have a distinct shape, and it isn't a circle!)
*I donated to charity three contractor bags filled with shoes and clothes that are too large or no longer my style. It feels good to be rid of those clothes and all the emotional baggage they represented. They reflected a person who no longer quite exists, and letting them go felt like letting go of all the guilt, frustration, illusions and so on that I had associated with the time when I wore them. I feel lighter, and not because of the numbers on the scale. Although those are nice, too. *g*
*I also stopped by the recycling bin, and with my new muscles, I hefted a heavy bag of shredded paper nearly as tall as I am. I felt like Wonder Woman afterwards.
*Dad made his first rehab appointment today. He starts a week from today!
*I had a good, long, soul-cleansing laughing fit at an accidentally obscene typo of mine. ("You have good taste in socks" became "You have good taste in cocks." Which is no doubt quite true, but not really what I meant to say.) In many things, I still have the sophistication of a preteen boy, and it felt good to just giggle and giggle at something so simple. :D
