travel tales and homecoming

I'd managed to upgrade both Morgan's and my tickets home, so we flew first class, and we ended up in bulkhead seats because they were the only ones where we could sit together. It was quite comfy, and I spent most of the flight either dozing or watching L&O:SVU while listening to music. It was kind of amusing to see how well I could follow the plot while not listening to it. (United has DirecTV on some of its flights and apparently it's complimentary in first class.)

We were the 3rd and 4th people off the plane, and our bags were about the 2nd and 3rd off the carousel. The car to take us home was prompt, and we were home by a little before 2pm--we'd have been earlier but our flight got delayed leaving Newark due to a computer issue or something.

We dropped our bags, checked the house to make sure everything was fine, and left to go get the Buddy boy, who was very happy to see us and was soft and clean because he'd had a bath yesterday.

Sadly I spent most of the rest of the afternoon in bed, because I survived the entire week in NJ without a migraine or a serious headache (I had some potential migraines but they never turned into anything) but apparently flying home and being back in the PNW triggered a head explosion. So I took pain meds and conked out. This is only annoying in that I had things I wanted to do yesterday but no.

My head hurts a bit this morning but that's to be expected, I think, and it'll go away soon. Meanwhile I have a ton of scrips to pick up today, at no less than three different pharmacies--this was not my choice. I had three scrips that I thought were going to the 24-hour Walgreens in Kirkland, and two of them (anti-nausea meds and hormones to induce my period) did, but one of them which required a new scrip from my doctor (muscle relaxants) somehow went to the Walgreens near my house instead. I'm not sure why. The campus health center, meanwhile, has my risperidone and I'm waiting for a scrip from my doctor for the Effexor. He hasn't responded yet, which isn't surprising--he tends to get backlogged on those. The only issue there is that apparently the phone number for his office isn't working. Morgan tried to call him last night and kept getting a weird message, and I tried from my phone and had the same result. This is peculiar especially since I'd called it not six hours before and gotten the correct message.

Meanwhile, I have an appointment with my therapist next Thursday, which should be good. I haven't been in therapy for a long time--at least two years, since the last time I saw her we were still in the apartment in Redmond. But with everything with Mom and with Morgan and I hoping to have a baby, I thought it was probably a good idea to start seeing her again, and fortunately she was totally cool with me coming back. I wish she had a steady opening but I'll manage.
