the good, the bad, and the tuesday
+ co-worker H starts today. I referred her, and she was one of the good things about the hell job, so I'm happy to have her and look forward to seeing her.
+/- boss is out sick today. We skipped the 1-1 yesterday due to him being out as well, and I'm out tomorrow so we won't synch up until next week. This isn't a horrible thing, but I did have a couple things I wanted to run by him, so that's a little frustrating.
- walked in to work blowing up today, so that's always exciting not really something I want to walk into. it's not really anything I need to do anything about, but I'm listening in on the call.
- have dentist appt today. not looking forward to it, mostly bc I haven't been doing what he told me to do. bad becc.
- tummy is still giving me issues. time to call the doctor, I guess. I've been putting it off, but I really should do something about it.
+ I have tomorrow off, so today's my Friday, and it's a short day due to the dentist appt at 2.
+/- Morgan's birthday is tomorrow. He's less than thrilled about it, mostly because it's a "big" birthday for him (he's turning 40), but I'm happy because it means he's survived one more year :P We both have the day off, too, so that'll be nice. We're thinking about going to see Pirates! Band of Misfits and out to lunch.
(He did ask me, very warily, if I was planning some sort of surprise birthday party for him tomorrow. I reassured him that no, I was not. I am planning on getting him a cake for Saturda's game, but that's it. I haven't even bought his birthday present because it's something he has to buy himself. I tried to figure out a way to buy it for him and yeah, wasn't happening.)
- I have a cut or sore spot or something on my face. After washing it last night I noticed a raised red mark. It didn't look the right shape to be a pimple (kind of rectangular rather than round) so I rubbed at it a little with the washcloth and then blood welled up. It's a nasty dark red mark on my cheek today, which I'm sure looks oh so fantastic, and it stings. I'm afraid to put anything on it because it still hurts.
+ I got feedback on a fic from 2009 today, my (i think) one and only NCIS:LA fic. That was a happy thing to find in my email this morning. It was also a plus because the person said they liked Travis despite not knowing anything about him, so I happily pointed them to Geometry.
