Yeah, so I'm changing my diet. It fucking sucks.

As any idiot observer could attest, I love food. I love eating food. I love fatty foods.

But the Doc is right and I need to cut that shit out.

Thanks, Laura. I know you focus a lot on dietary health for yourself and your kids. It's a good role model to have right here ( ... )

I use webmd.com. pretty close to what you've already been linked too. I've found fiber infused water (meijer band..not sure if you have those.)

Fiber in water? euuchh! I like fiber in other things. Beans, or veggies or oats. but I can't immagine drinking it.

To be honest, I didn't care until my cholesterol was over 200 once and my LDLs were at 130 - the borderline for Not Healthy. The fiber thing is because Park needs it ( ... )

PS!

you know what might be the best for you right now, just to get in the swing of things?

select 500 calories to drop from your eating each day. That is two cans of soda (24 ounces). Or a dessert. Or a single cheese stick from a pizza place.

Do that for a week and you've dropped a pound. Repeat.

And, you know, make sure you're eating healthy, quality foods. Read lots of labels - just cuz it's fat free doesn't mean it's better for you. Mono and poly unsaturated fats are great for your heart's health.

I hope you don't think I'm obsessive about my food intake because I'm not. I love food. I've picked up a lot of relatively useful information over the years and I'm glad to share it if you want.

Or I can just shut up already.

k-bye.

Ha ha ha ha! No worries! I neither think you're being too pushy OR overly health-nut.

I think I'm doing well, though. i'll stick by what I'm doing for now. My body isn't telling me I need anything different, really. So we're good!

I don't know about you but knowing a single cheese stick from a pizza place is over 400 calories grosses me out big time. ;)

I'm glad it's working better.

I need to get my butt off the coufa and get back into yoga and regular cardio. :P

PS - I have a glycemic index reference book (that I never use) that can help you sort out good carbs/foods from not so good carbs/foods.

Only if you want it.
