... all the umbrellas can really poke you in they eye.
san marco was not as glowy as i was hoping. richly decorated with the spoils of the fourth crusade, however. in the square surrounding, there are two red marble columns where they used to have public hangings. morbid, no?
i finally found and purchased a few items i desperately needed: strapless bra, contact solution, toothpaste (still had some of that one). the lingere here is pretty hot. i might go back for more. but later.
everyone has been bitching that they miss american breakfasts (here breakfast entails a cappuccino and maybe a pastry, forget about eggs), so i might just hold a sunday brunch at the apartment. i can cook a mean omelet. hell, i can cook a lot of good stuff, thanks to my mom. she will be coming at the end of next month, so maybe if we ask really nicely we can get some greek faire out of here. oh, but i might have to limit the invites to only my island. there is a girl who pretty much everyone hates. instead of killing her, i might just get her drunk and tell her how annoying she is. that, or throw her in the canal...
tomorrow is my eight month with PM. i am so sad to miss it, but absence has definately instilled more respect. he really is a great bf. i have already apologized for taking him for granted.
today i said bona jornata, which means have a nice day. it went over well, so i either said it right or they pity me.
laters for now. i need to go rescue my soggy clothes from the line.
oh, and study.
