Carnation Fudge

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar 2/3 cup Evaporated milk 2 tbsp butter/margerine 1/4 tsp salt 2 cups mini marshmallows 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts 1 tsp vanilla extract
  1. Line a 8 by 8 inch baking pan with foil. (approximately 1/2 inch deep)
  2. Combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter and salt in medium heavy-duty sauce pan. Bring to a full roiling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in marshmallows, chips, nuts, and vanilla extract. Stir vigorusly for 1 minute or until marshmallows are melted. Pour into prepared baking pan; refridgerate for 2 hours or until firm. Lift from pan; remove foil and cut into pieces.
