These are just some random pictures of Cuddles. No worries, she is healthy, on and off predinisone for her back, but perkier than any 12 year old dog should be (I think its the meds).  I just saw a picture of someone else's dog who, at least in those pics, could have been Cuddles twin (with a black nose).  I guess we each have one out there ( Read more... )

Happy Memorial Day!

Hubby, Cuddles, and I headed up to the cabin in Vermont for the three day weekend. My parents joined us for one night. My stepfather has dialysis 3 days a week, so they had to head home Sunday afternoon so he could make his weekly Monday appointment.

Just wanted to let you know that Cuddles is doing better. She has regained about half of her appetite and has regained most of her perky personalilty.  She still is not happy with having to take pills, but she doesn't bite me as hard as in the past.  But she still lets me know she is not happy at all with the pill situation.  We have another week ( Read more... )

Poor Cuddles, the vet put her on new antibiotics for this Leptosporosis bacteria. Unfortunately, she keep throwing up because of it.  She barely eats or drinks, and now she throws up whatever we get into her.  Need to call vet tomorrow to see if they can give her a shot of antibiotics or something. I want to thank all of you for your positive thoughts and words of encouragement for baby Cuddles.  She is still quite ill. The week of antiboitics haven't done much for her, although there has been some change in her bloodwork. The tests relating to her liver are all on the extreme high side. Decided to try out the new camera Canon Rebel XS. Wanted more megapix and I had dropped my Rebel XT so many times, I am not sure how much more abuse it could take.  Old Rebel also needs to have sensor cleaned from all the dust we kicked up while riding on the quads in British Columbia this summer. This week we have has absolutely glorious weather.  Last week, we were getting ready to build an ark with all the rain and hurricane force winds, but this week, heaven.  Tomorrow, rain will come in with seasonable temperatures, but today, it is sunny and 70 with a gentle breeze.  Poor Cuddles had to go to the vet for her annual check up.
