After work I went to a nearby gas station. Upon leaving--well, long story short--I drove out too quickly, went down a nasty curb and ended up with a flat tire. I turned around and drove back into gas station parking lot. They don't fix cars there so I walked across the street to the K-Mart auto repair praying it would not cost me a couple of limbs and some blood to replace it. The guy walked over with me to take a look. He said it may it only cost about $20 or so to fix the tire, went back for a jack and removed the tire. Turned out the rim had gotten bent but there was no damage to the tire. He got the rim straightened out, inflated the tire and put it back on, charging me $40.
I will have to take it to a repair shop and have the suspension check as I fear there may be something wrong. Or I will have to get a new rim. Or both. Unfortunately, I do have to work the next 5 nights in a row. Hopefully the car will get me to work and back until next week. And hopefully the remaining damage won't cost a fortune to fix.
I guess that's what I get for taking this picture:
I assume one of them accidently locked his keys in the car (with it running) and they were trying to get it open. And not that they were trying to steal the car because they were very bad at it and had been trying for quite a while. Unless they were just beginning to learn.
Yeah, because I quickly took that pic with my phone's camera before trying to leave.
